I can’t recommend Solar Plumbing and heating highly enough. I’ve been using them since I was local to the area, and even now that I’m living further out, I still make the effort to use them. That says everything about the level of service they provide compared to other businesses. The team always go above and beyond. They are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely helpful. There are no hidden prices, everything is clear and upfront, which I really appreciate. They also make it very clear regarding refunds, exchanges which other similar businesses do not! What really stands out is how they deal with problems. They do not just sell you something and move on. They take the time to troubleshoot, offer practical advice, and go out of their way to help when things do not go to plan. That kind of service is hard to find. They stock an extensive range and are always transparent about supplier lead times, managing expectations properly so there are no surprises. Thank you and see you soon

AVOID THIS BUSINESS - ZERO CUSTOMER/AFTER SALES SERVICE, COMMUNICATION OR MANNERS! I’m the main carer for my frail father and work full-time; I don’t have time to chase a retailer for basic communication. After spending £20,000+, Indy was rude, dismissive and almost impossible to reach. When my £1,000 cabinet door broke, the manufacturer said a replacement could only be arranged through him. Indy refused to speak on the phone (strangely, he appears to be fearful/incapable of this), he replied to messages initially, then ignored that form of communication too — even when I resorted to a warning I’d involve my legal representative. I later discovered through the manufacturer that the door had arrived 6 days earlier, but Indy hadn’t bothered to tell me. My builder collected it and was met with grunting, rudeness and no professionalism. Basic manners cost nothing. Retailers have legal duties under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to provide after-sales support; Indy showed complete disregard for this. If anything goes wrong, you’ll be left on your own. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AND INDY! DONT BELIEVE INDYS RESPONSE TO THIS- CLEARLY HE LIES TOO.

I was disappointed the owner refused to give me a refund on a measly radiator valve after I informed I misplaced the receipt; even though he was aware I was a regular customer who had spent a large amount of money at his shop for my building project and ensured my builder used them for their supplies. I tried to resolve it with him by bringing the unused product and showing him the date and time of my purchase on my banking app, so as he can trace my purchase as it was a simple thing to do, disappointingly he came up with an excuse that his computer was not working; or he could not locate it on his database which was nonsense. I do understand a retailer can use their discretion when doing a refund with no receipt this is why I asked the owner if he is able to use his discretion, especially as I was a repeat customer who previously spent a large amount on purchases including wc and bathroom vanities and had them delivered from his shop including spotlights and above and below ground drainage fittings. To my surprise and disgust his response was “theres nothing he can do, and it is what it is” Loyal customers mean nothing to this shop, the young owner who dealt with me clearly felt the refund amount was too much to return so dismissed me and ultimately lost a customer. He fails to realise competition is strong in plumbing supplies due to other suppliers having better value for money. The number one rule he should have learnt by now in life is respect people and treat people fair, just like how he would like to be treated, the supplier are not deserving of my custom after this experience.
