TNS Electrical Solutions

Working with TNS Electrical Solutions has been a very poor and frustrating experience and I would not recommend it. A simple two‑day, one‑engineer Philips Hue smart‑lighting install in my London flat has turned into an overpriced, unfinished mess that has cost me over £1,000 just to start putting right, with several issues still unresolved.​ Although all projects can encounter issues outside of peoples control, there is no excuse for their poor project management or communication from start to still-not-finished. They fitted dimmers that were fundamentally incompatible with my existing 2‑ and 3‑way circuits, only admitting this after they had torn into walls and left excessive holes and gaps around plates. I’ve been left with a dimmer with no faceplate, multiple dimmer knobs that control nothing, a bathroom mirror that no longer works, and motion sensors and Hue devices that either weren’t set up properly or have since stopped working.​ What was sold as a two‑day job has ballooned into roughly six on‑site days, often with two to four engineers present, yet the system is still not correctly configured or finished. At one point the owner turned up, made little visible progress, and instead ordered himself a Deliveroo to eat in my flat, which perfectly captured the level of professionalism on display.​ Mid‑project, and without any proper discussion, they tried to more than double the agreed quote with an invoice for unfinished work, then agreed I’d pay the original amount and we’d settle any extras once the job was properly completed. After taking that money they became increasingly unresponsive, cancelled a planned return visit for 11 December at short notice, and have ignored my emails and WhatsApp messages ever since, leaving the project abandoned.​ In short: poor technical competence, sloppy workmanship, inflated and shifting pricing, and zero accountability once paid. I would strongly advise avoiding TNS Electrical Solutions for any smart‑lighting or electrical work.
