We had booked an engineer to visit yesterday as we didn’t have any gas coming out of our hob/ cooktop. They gave us a window of 12-5pm, we had to call the office at 4pm as we hadn’t heard that someone was on the way. We were told that they had an engineer close by and he would be with us shortly, we got another call at 5pm saying he would t be able to make it until after 5:30pm. Aside from turning up 30mins outside the timeframe given Abdul did a thorough job and got our job operational again. Would use them again if they were able to assure us they would arrive during the allotted timeframe. Thanks Abdul

I was disappointed by the service provided. I called out a plumber to resolve a leaking bath waste pipe. This was resolved, though the plumber did not have the materials to replace it, only to temporarily fix it. I had told the office prior to his arrival what kind of materials would be required. Regardless, at the end of the appointment I asked him to re-fix the bath panel with sealant. He agreed and attempted to do this and did an awful job, only sealing (badly) along one edge and failing to put the panel in the correct position. I later followed this up with the office, expecting them to resolve it, however the best that they could offer was sending out somebody to try again and charge me in full to do this. This is not the level of service that I expected from a professional outfit.

My heating system failed completely in mid-December. I got quotes from two companies before choosing Anderson & Sons. I needed the hot water cylinder and boiler replaced, and a chemical power flush done for the whole central heating system. They did this work over the Christmas/New Year period and were very reliable. They also did the safety inspection and issued the new gas safety certificate. They are dependable, professional and they send clear communications about the work.

Avoid – highly concerning experience. I had an extremely poor experience with C Anderson & Sons LLP regarding emergency boiler works last week. I was assured late at night that my boiler issue was minor, would be fixed the following morning, and required two engineers. Based on these assurances, I paid a large deposit under significant pressure, while without heating or hot water. The following day, the promised repair was not completed. The boiler was not fixed, the key work described beforehand was not carried out, and I was left without heating or hot water exactly as before. Despite making it clear that I did not agree to further payment given the failure to complete the work, my card was charged without authorisation. The job report provided was inadequate and failed to explain what work had been done, what fault was found, or why the repair failed. Repeated references to photos and notes were made, but none were supplied. I have since sought independent advice and alternative quotations which contradict the representations originally made to justify the cost. I am currently pursuing a refund and escalating the matter through formal channels. I would strongly advise others to exercise caution and obtain multiple quotes before proceeding with this company.

Nishard was absolutely superb today and went above and beyond to resolve the issues at hand quickly and to a very high standard. He was incredibly skilled, honest and professional and was lovely to have around. I have enquired about using Andersons & Sons again for some major plumbing works I have planned as I was so impressed. The best I have dealt with and would highly recommend.
