Lambeth Dry Cleaners & Laundry

I had an amazing experience getting my dress and skirt tailored here. From the first day the man helping me was very polite and respectful of my privacy and belongings. He listened to my concerns and helped me make the necessary adjustments to obtain my perfect fit. In the end both items came out exactly how I wanted and what’s best is you can’t tell that it’s be altered. Really amazing service, clean store and good timing. I’ll definitely be back when I need to alter future items. Thank you!

DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF MERCHANT. I presented with two loads of washing, one lights and one darks. The lights load was about 5kg and the darks load about 7kg so both would fit in standard machine. Wanted to collect 24 hours later. The person who served me told me it was three loads (indicating the darks load was two on its own) and then asked for my contact number. I said I was staying at the local hotel and he asked if I was a tourist to which I replied yes. I then said I could pay cash and how much would it be. He said £28.50 per load. A total of almost £90 for three standard loads (which should have been two in the first place), basic wash and dry, nothing special. I refused to pay this price and he asked how much I would be willing to pay, I said £50 at most and even then I thought that extortionate. He said the cheapest he would do is £70. I refused, said he was just trying to rip me off as I am a tourist and took my business and my money elsewhere. I appreciate as a tourist you will likely pay more but this is a joke. Don't bother.

This place is a rip off do not use. Took a coat in for dry cleaning cost £28 when unwrapped it had just been slightly brushed, still smelled musky and had dog hairs on. Also conveniently his card reader was broken so had to pay cash. So this is a warning go elsewhere for a proper job don't get ripped off

No idea what had spilt onto one of the pockets but they gave it a really good go at cleaning it and the stain is hardly noticeable. Very pleased with their efforts, they’ve rescued a suit.

Brought in my mattress topper to have it cleaned as my washing machine was too small to wash it. Served by Zain, and although he was very nice, it made me a bit sceptical of whether he was charging me more than what I was supposedly charged. My mattress topper was a double sized one but on the receipt it said it was for a king size mattress cover. Despite asking Zain to reconfirm the pricing/issue of the receipt, which he said it was a “mistake” but he ensures that it’s the correct price, it just made me feel a bit sceptical and uncertain, as previous reviews have revealed some sense of scamming. I am going to give this place benefit of the doubt since it’s central London so it would be understandable if they charged slightly more, but it is making me rethink whether did I just get scammed or not. I am not here to ruin the business reputation by giving exaggerated reviews but I am here just to provide an honest review from my perspective. Perhaps it would be useful for Lambeth Dry Cleaners to create a website or include a picture of their guide prices online so that it allows more transparency and makes customers feel more at ease.
