GCF CARPENTRY

Gerard did some beautiful custom made alcove cupboards for us and we are thrilled with the result! Beautiful craftsmanship, and he was punctual, tidy and customer focused. He even did the bins for us and took away all the rubbish, and was very honest about the quality of our walls not being strong enough for some shelves. Overall very pleased and would 10/10 recommend!

Gerard fitted us a built in desk and some cupboards. Work was done to a very high standard and Gerard took great care all the way through from planning through to completion. We are really happy with the result! I’d have no hesitation in working with him again in future.

Gerard did us the perfect wall unit in our new house. From his first visit, he was passionate and collaborative and we had a lot of discussion about making the piece work for us and the space. Gerard’s attention to detail is next to none and he thought of everything! He’s full of great ideas and really took time to make the design perfect. We are so happy with the final result, completed over a few weeks. The finish is beautiful - with an excellent quality paint job and our Victorian wonky walls not a visible issue. We even asked Gerard to incorporate a shoe rack, the functional touches making it such a useful, well made and lovely looking piece. Can’t recommend enough, and can’t wait to fully fill it up with with all our stuff! Big thanks Gerard 😊

Gerard did a fantastic job with my shelves and cupboard. The finish is top-quality, and I’m really impressed with his work—I can’t stop admiring the shelves! He kept me informed throughout the process, was tidy, and clearly passionate about what he does. 5/5 stars—I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!

2021: Gerard built alcove / media units and a desk area for us. We had a specific idea of what we wanted and Gerard took our idea and made it even better! Everything was completely bespoke down to the finest details such as the chamfer edge, beading on bookshelf surrounds, depth of the drawers etc and finished to the highest quality. Attention to detail, communication, timing and professionalism was excellent! We are already lining Gerard up for our next project! 100% recommend. 2026: We've used Gerard twice now for custom bookcase/media units and we couldn’t be happier. This most recent one was a more traditional style, and the craftsmanship and attention to detail were fantastic. The finished result looks amazing and we’ve already had lots of compliments. Highly recommend Gerard for anyone looking for high-quality custom work!
