CJ Construction (Surrey) Ltd

A great building firm, both professional and friendly. We contracted CJ Construction to knock down a load bearing wall to create a large open plan kitchen diner, add a new toilet room, utility room, upgrade the plumbing & electrics, refurbish the bathroom, decorate throughout and remodel the existing loft extension to add extra space, windows, an ensuite and a storage room. We love the end result! Dean and Jay communicated clearly on costs and timelines and were responsive to all queries. Like any project, there were unforeseen problems and these were handled well. One thing we particularly liked, was how detailed the costings for the project and additional work were. This helped us manage our budget as we could see the cost of the different components of a job and thereby pick and choose what to go ahead with and what to drop. Special thanks to Dan and Rob who led on the building work, and were generally all-round good guys. Having never undertaken such a large project before we greatly appreciated their advice and guidance. And also thanks to Jamie, who led the decorating, painstakingly filling in all of our old woodwork and walls. CJ were recommended to us by a friend, and we would likewise recommend them to others. They’re straightforward, good guys who want to, and do, a good job.

We contracted CJ Construction to extend and fit out our kitchen. It was a 4 month project and have to say, they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Quality of workmanship was first class. Project managing was exceptional and always kept you in the loop with developments and any issues, which were always easily resolved. All of their staff and contractors used were polite and extremely friendly. Would highly recommend them. Tom & Kelly, Banstead

We had the pleasure of working with CJ Construction on a full renovation of our home, and the experience was great start to finish. The project began in November 2023 and was completed in July 2024, and throughout that time, and since, the team have been consistently punctual, friendly and professional. The renovation covered every room in the house. They installed, new bathrooms, added a beautiful extension, fitted a downstairs toilet and converted our garage into partly an entrance area along with creating a utility / dog-washing area. The kitchen installation in the new extension is a real highlight and has completely transformed the way we live. We were kept involved throughout the process. Whenever decisions or changes were needed, we were consulted and our input was always welcomed. Communication was excellent, and any small issues or finishing touches have been handled quickly and efficiently. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the overall experience. CJ Construction is a reliable, skilled and customer-focused team that we would confidently recommend to anyone considering a renovation.

Dean, Jay and their team were courteous, friendly and professional. For six months an array of workers and craftsmen appeared punctually as needed and worked without delays. Workmanship was excellent. The team appeared committed and enthusiastic. We were consulted at every stage and appreciated the attention to detail. Dean and Jay managed the process throughout and were often on-site to review progress and always available by phone to discuss issues. Unexpected problems were dealt with quickly. We would not hesitate to use CJ Construction again for any building work.

If you're looking for a builder who ticks every box and goes above and beyond, look no further! Dean and his team have been absolute stars from start to finish. We couldn’t be happier with the work done and the overall experience. Firstly, honesty and fairness are rare qualities to find in a builder, but Dean and his team have delivered on both. From the initial quote to the final invoice, everything was transparent and reasonable with no hidden costs or surprises, just straightforward pricing and clear communication. Their professionalism was outstanding. The work has been completed to an incredibly high standard, and the attention to detail has been truly impressive. Every aspect of the job was handled with care and precision and thoughtfulness, and you can tell Dean takes immense pride in their work. The tidiness of all involved was another huge bonus. What really stood out was how helpful Dean and his team were throughout the project. They were always willing to listen to our ideas and offer advice, ensuring we got the best possible result and quickly sorting our last minute changes to the project with ease and no fuss or stress (big thank you there!). In the end, the results speak for themselves - a job done very well, suiting our timeframes, and on budget! If you want a builder who is reliable, honest, tidy, and brilliant at what they do, I couldn’t recommend Dean and his team enough. A huge thank you for making our vision a reality! Five stars all the way *****
