Benjamin Hooper Design

Ben did for me a bespoke kitchen and a tv stand. Both are beautiful and made my living room and kitchen so beautiful and cozy. I highly recommend him as he is so patient, incredibly attentive to details and practicality and provides clear updates. Everything he did was perfect for me

Ben designed our attic bedroom layout, and made a set of quite complicated pieces of furniture to make full use of the space. This included a wardrobe fitted into the eaves; a complex corner bench/storage solution (with so many storage options I am in seventh heaven); a bookcase built in to the eaves storage area; and two utterly gorgeous dressers made of London plane from Fallen & Felled. Ben was able to take our rather loose ideas and make beautiful items of furniture which we will cherish for years to come. He had the patience of a saint with our prevarications over various decisions that needed to be made, and took the extra time - as well as always going the extra mile - to ensure that each piece was as we wanted. Thank you so much Ben for creating such lovely, integral items for us to enjoy. I cannot recommend you highly enough!

We got Ben Hooper to do a fairly big job for us in early 2024, and I rate him very, very highly! At the initial design stages, when we talked through the scope of the work we wanted, Ben was able to provide us with a very accurate quote and clear, informative drawings showing us exactly how the job would come together. Once we had commissioned him and booked the dates in it was clear that Ben is a very capable carpenter and joiner, and skilled in general building too! He is quick, efficient, very personable and, very careful and tidy – always spent the time to hoover and clear-up at the end of the day!

Ben made and installed some storage benches for our kitchen. Ben was very communicative from first asking for a quote, seeing the space and was very prompt at providing a quote. He also provided a 3D drawing of the benches so you could easily see what he was working to. He was also able to get a colour match to a very specific green we wanted to. Ben does much of the fabrication offsite so there is minimal disruption and he installed the benches in less than 90 mins. It was less than a month from instructing to installation. The benches are made with really high quality materials and very well made. Would definitely recommend Ben for those looking for bespoke furniture. Update May 2024 We had Ben come back to renovate our understairs cupboard as what we had was quite dated and a very poor use of space. Ben gave a very thoughtful design and gave some really clever ideas as to how to maximise the space. It’s not a straightforward area so hard to do. Once the design was finished, most of it was fabricated offsite so Ben’s installation (which again not straightforward) was pretty quick only taking around 2 days. That meant limited disruption to us. The finished product is really well made and with high quality materials. Not only does the space look much better but also has given us lots of extra storage. Would definitely recommend Ben (again!)

Ben listened and realised my simple sketch into a beautiful wardrobe and fitted it to a very high standard. He sourced some great quality birch plywood and offered great expertise and knowledge in the process from design to finish. It’s better than I envisaged and will not hesitate to use again.
