Glotech Repairs

Do not use!!! I booked a tumble dryer repair which was outsourced to a third party. The engineer turned up back in November and told me I needed some parts and then he would come back to complete the job. No news since... Multiple emails and phone calls to both Glotech and the engineer and no reply. I see I'm not the only one to have this experience, so I can only advise people to avoid.

Do not use. £210 out of pocket. Booked a dishwasher repair. Their local engineer said I needed a part which I paid for and he would come back. It's been 6 weeks. Impossible to contact him. When I do get hold of him , he doesn't show up. Glotech Customer Service doesn't seem to think they are responsible and tells me to contact him.

Beware of the low quality services that Glotech Repairs provide! I booked a handyman through them to repair our dishwasher and he came and broke the door cupboard near the dishwasher. It is currently off the cupboard. He lied that he will fix it but he never did. The name of the local company who did the damage in our property is Sheehan Maintenance Ltd. When I looked this company up, it's new, from 2025 so clearly the guys have zero experience. On top of that, instead of admitting their mistake and fixing the cupboard, they argued that it was just old and worn out which is a complete lie because this house was bought brand new 6 years ago and the kitchen hasn't been used much due to our busy lives. All other cupboards in the kitchen are perfectly fine, only this one was old and worn out, according to the dishonest Darren Robert Sheehan who is the owner. Just looked up Glotech Repair's Trustpilot score - 3.8! My bad, should have checked this before ever engaging with this incompetent and dishonest company.

AVOID this company at any cost - terrible service. Their client support doesn’t understand what you tell them on the phone and even reply aggressively if you don’t accept their unreasonable best practices. They EXPECT you to have a private parking space or PAY for their parking permit. They had ordered a spare component for us, since the landlord hadn’t anticipated the payment for the component, the technician just cancelled the appointment after arriving outside of our flat!!! Technicians they send over very blunt and aggressive. We had an issue with the appliance and on top of this unpleasant experience, they haven’t fully fixed that. Just one suggestion - AVOID!

Terrible service - a waste of money and time. TLDR: We booked this service to repair our oven and in the end, it wasn't fixed. After 4 visits over one month, we ended up spending £105 to end up back at square one + a loss in earnings from booking time off work (they only give 8-5pm window, so you have to be in all day). The first time they came out, the engineer stated what he thought was wrong with it and ordered parts. We paid the callout fee and around £155 for the parts. A different engineer came this the second time and said that the oven was misdiagnosed and he needed different parts, and requoted us. On the day of the third visit, the engineer called us after lunch to say that he had forgotten the parts and would need to rearrange. When we called the company, they stated that they actually didn't have the parts so needed to wait for delivery. At the forth booked appt, we had the engineer who came the second time. After looking at the oven again, he said it couldn't be fixed and we needed a new oven. We got sent a quote for new ovens, none of which were suitable for our needs as we have an unusual requirement in our space which the engineer said he would pass on the details of. The ovens were also quoted at about £50 - £100 more than you can buy them elsewhere, plus a quote for installation costs that were significantly more. While the call out charge covered every visits, we asked the company if they would offer us a gesture of goodwill. This was because of loss of earnings, having to take off 4 whole days of work, and being out of pocket throughout because of wrong parts. And all of this only to end up back at square one but over £100 out of pocket and to be quoted £100s more than most appliance companies charge for the appliance and installation. The company told us multiple times they would look into our request re goodwill with no response. Spoke to the manager today and she confirmed that we would get no compensation, only refunds for the unnecessary parts we paid for. She said she understood why we were upset, but that we couldn't get a refund because they were actually out of pocket from sending so many engineers - sorry, this is your problem, not ours.
