The repair man was friendly enough, but £99.54 call out later and I've still got a non-functional microwave, with a parts bill that would have come to £400 if I actually wanted it repaired...I could get a new one of the same model for under £300! I tried being environmentally conscious and repairing what I have, but this experience means I'll just dump old appliances and buy new ones in future rather than shelling out for a "repair". edit: Apparently Glotech had no way of knowing if the visit would be a waste of time, but the engineer said that as soon as he heard the make and model and the issue, he had a feeling that it was not going to be a positive outcome. So maybe Glotech should consult with their engineers, providing job details before appointing them?

If you are thinking of using this company I would advise to steer well clear! I had a hotpoint FF 200 EP where the fridge was not cooling. I got the fault code by following the manual test procedure & passed over the full details in my booking form. When the engineer arrived he was onsite for 15 mins & said we needed a part being promptly charged £95! 2 days later I get an email saying the model is to old & can’t get parts for it. This is unbelievable that even with the model number this could not have been checked prior to sending the engineer out. Daylight robbery! When speaking to the team who deal with bookings they said there is no technical Knowledge in the team & now way for them to check, despite them being able to check once they have been paid £95.00 for 15 minutes labour! Absolutely disgusting!

Daniel from Glotech assessed my hob initally and found the fault. Once I was quoted for the part and additional labour as a second engineer needed to assist Daniel with taking the hob out of the worktop and placing it back in, I had decided to instruct them to do the work. Once the part arrived Daniel and his colleague attended the next day as booked in by his colleague at the office. They repaired the hob quickly. They were both very professional and did exactly what was requested. All the team including the admin/office staff were very helpful. I would highly recommend this company if you want a professional and responsive company. The initial price includes any further visits needed to get the job done. The only additional cost was the part and the second engineer who assisted Daniel on the day of the repair. My hob is an expensive brand that is not easy to find an alternative replacement due to the down draft extraction so it was well worth paying to have it repaired by professionals as the replacement price would have been far more.

Terry came to put in the parts that he ordered for our oven last week, which had completely stopped working. He was friendly, polite and efficient. Exchanging the burnt out plug and testing that the oven works and is safe. All done professionally. Many thanks Sharon Burch

We had Terry come over to fix our washing machine, and he was absolutely fantastic! He arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue straight away, and had it fixed in less than 15 minutes.
